The Recycling Zone (formerly Dakota County Eco-Site)
County residents can bring recycling and household hazardous waste materials to the same collection center--The Recycling Zone located in Eagan. Most items are collected for free. Please see link for acceptable materials, drop-off times and location.

Vasko Disposal Vasko Disposal Solutions
Located in St. Paul, Vasko Disposal offers free recycling for plastic bottles, cans, glass, paper, cardboard, cell phones, rechargeable batteries, eye glasses, clothes, and scrap metal. They also collect tires, appliances, electronics, car batteries and propane tanks for a fee. Vasko's pay dump accepts garbage, furniture and construction material for disposal, as well as tree branches, stumps and Christmas trees for composting.

Located in Inver Grove Heights, JR's Appliance will recycle your unwanted appliances and electronics from dishwashers to cell phones. Check their website for the full list. Don't dump before you know.

MPC is an electronics recycling company specializing in precious metal refining, component recovery, surplus resale and equipment disassembly. Junk computers? Radios, TVs, VCRs? Based in Eagan, MPC can be of great help.

Waste Management Asset Recovery Group Waste Management Asset Recovery Group
Located at the Burnsville Sanitary Landfill, WM Asset Recovery Group will recycle most electronics for a fee, except Sony brand electronics and personal-computer equipment. These items will be taken at no charge to consumers through Sony's recycling agreement with Waste Management. Over 9000 pounds of Sony brand electronics were processed by WM in 2001!
