Dakota Valley Recycling

DVR is the partnership recycling department for the Cities of Apple Valley, Eagan and Burnsville
that connects residents and businesses to recycling, composting and waste disposal information.

The Cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville and Eagan, MN, all have waste and recycling related ordinances.  These ordinances regulate what and how materials are disposed of, to ensure that waste and recycling is handled properly to protect human health and the environment.

Residents and businesses will find ordinance information by city, addressing the following sorts of topics:

  • Daily hauling zones/districts (what day does your garbage and recycling get picked up)
  • Times during the day garbage and recycling can be picked up
  • Multiple-family dwelling property information
  • Storage of containers for residents and commercial properties
  • Backyard compost information
