City
of Apple Valley
Garbage pick-up
The City of Apple Valley ordinance requires that every household be under a contract
with a licensed garbage hauler. Garbage, recycling and yard waste containers may
NOT be placed next to the street or curb during collection
days. You must place your containers in one of the following locations:
1. Next to your garage door; or
2. Other locations no closer to the curb than your garage door and approved by your garbage hauler.Your garbage hauler is required to return your containers to the designated location.
Storage of containers
Residents are required to keep containers for garbage, recyclables and yard waste in one of the following
locations on non-collection days:
1. Your garage, shed, or similar structure on your property;
2. The rear yard of your property; or
3. The side yard, provided the containers are not visible from either the street or your neighbor's

City of Burnsville
Garbage pick-up
The
City of Burnsville ordinance requires that every household be under
a contract with a licensed garbage hauler or self-haul garbage in a
timely manner, such that it does not accumulate and become a
nuisance. Appliances, furniture and similar items shall not be left
outside for collection and disposal for more than 72 hours before
they are collected.
Storage of containers
All waste material, debris, refuse,
garbage or materials not currently in use for construction shall be:
1. Stored indoors; or
2. Completely screened from the eye-level view from public streets and adjacent
properties; or
3. Kept in covered trash containers.

City of Eagan
Garbage pick-up
The
City of Eagan ordinance requires that every household have weekly
garbage collection. You may contract with a licensed hauler for removal
or bring it yourself to a licensed solid waste facility or
county-designated facility. The City allows garbage, recycling
and yard waste containers at the curb or
other collection point from 6 p.m. on the night before your collection day, until 6 a.m. on the day after.
Storage of containers
During non-collection days,
these containers must be stored in one of the following locations:
1. Inside your home or garage; or
2. Behind the front of your home or garage.If you do not have room to properly store your garbage and recycling containers, please contact your
garbage hauler to discuss smaller container options.
Weekly
Residential Garbage and Recycling Schedule
In an attempt to reduce overall truck
traffic through neighborhoods, Eagan has been divided into three
sections for garbage and recycling pick-up. Residential garbage and
recycling will be picked up on the following days in the following
areas of the City:
Monday: All
residential addresses North of Diffley Road and west of Lexington
Avenue
Wednesday: All residential addresses South of
Diffley Road and west of Lexington Avenue
Friday:
All residential addresses east of Lexington Avenue

are contained within section 6.37 of the Eagan City Code.
